DR.NAZANIN GHANADAN, PT, DPT

Dr. Nazanin Ghanadan, PT, DPT is a bay area native who began her journey with wellness as a young child practicing martial arts, dance and even meditation. She knew early on that she wanted to work in a career where she could help others but did not want to work directly with treating individuals with medications. Working as an athletic trainer for 4 years in high school allowed her to combine this with her love for sports. She went on to earn her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Biology at San Jose State University while simultaneously earning her EMT and working in various heath care settings including working as volunteer at the VA, rehab aide in various outpatient settings and sports medicine volunteer for marathons and fundraisers such as Aids Life Cycle Ride.

Dr. Nazanin then completed her Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy at California State University Fresno. While earning her Doctoral degree, she had the opportunity to work with people from all walks of life with various diagnoses from completing research with individuals with Parkinson’s disease, to helping individuals with strokes, amputations, children with special needs and a multitude of others. In working with so many different individuals, Dr. Nazanin quickly noticed that no two individuals are alike. In fact, she found that even the same individual with the same diagnosis 5 years later isn’t the same person. With that, she made it her mission to treat all of her clients with a holistic individualized approach that not only takes into account the injuries or diagnoses that they are seeking her care for but taking the time to get to know her clients as a whole.

Dr. Nazanin currently works as an inpatient acute physical therapist, a rehabilitation therapist as well as a research consultant. She is a Certified Ergonomics Assessment Specialist and has certifications in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Shoulder Rehabilitation, Adult Bladder Control and Urinary Incontinence, and Sports Medicine. In her free time she loves to travel, practice kickboxing and yoga, hike and do anything outdoors, and spend time with her family and friends. Dr. Nazanin has also spent the last few years participating in practical philosophy courses where she is constantly learning to look at the world around her with new eyes and further develop her mindfulness and meditation practice. She believes that the mind and body require regular development and nurturing for a happy and healthy life.
